purse is knitted, felted, dried and alll done

A friend of mine, Deb Page, said she can't wait to see this one finished so this is just for her. ta daaaaaa
I had to fold the sides in a bit as the top wanted to flop open. Next time I use this New Zealand yarn (thin and stiff) I will double strand it. And remind me NOT to use the noro stuff for an accent carry along yarn. in spots you can't see the fluffy stuff only the string part. :(

New intern at the Ice company

Well Here is the new intern at my daughter and her hubbys business. Her name is Mia and she looks ready to work. A little uncertain but ready to go.
Next photo is of office manager/coowner /Mom , Tina showing the intern how to greet customers. Next one is of Mia and co owner/delivery guy/Dad, Dade letting Mia handle an incoming fax. She is doing well! What a little worker.
Next photo is of Mia wondering why I keep taking photos of her when she is trying to learn the business and in the next one she is asking her boss if she is allowed to show the customers her tongue!!! I think the boss said that she most certainly can if she says to the first, "Hi, how can I help you?"

12 in squares for a comfortghan

These are the 2 12 inch squares that I made to send to Christy McMahon for a comfortghan she is making for a member of her Bumbles Groovy Crochet yahoo group.
I have it all packed up, stamped and ready to mail and now looking at this photo I see that the square on the right has different yarn on the last 2 rounds. this really sucks. I could have sworn that the yarns were the same kind and same lot # but evidently they weren't. Normally I wouldn't send this off but this time I am going to let it slide.
I have a lot of things I need to get knitted and crocheted by Oct. and I just don't have the arm strength to rip it out and do over again. Time is my enemy and so is my arthritis. Boy can it get any more painful????? Ha well I know it can but don't want to think about having to endure it.

My Famous Basketweave Baby Blanket

For the last 30 years, I have made every new baby in the family and every friends new baby one of my basketweave baby blankets. Now for the last 5 years I have been making them for my daughter and her hubby, whenever a friend or family member has a baby, I get called into action.
This is my latest one. It has to be done by October so I better get back to work on it. I'm using Homespun in the color Williamsburg for this one. I'll post a photo when it is done.
