A Few New Items for my Etsy "Store

I've made a few things to put up in my Etsy store but I always like to get comments from you all first.
There are 3 new project bags, a brand new item for me, and I love them.

And there are also some stitchmarkers. Bunnies and chickens and chicks and more cupcakes.

What 5 things would I do if I had all the money in the world?

1. Either buy or pay off my kids homes for them.
2. donate lots of $$ for cancer research, and to make a wish foundation and to hospice
3. create my own yarn center where peeps can come and knit and chat and learn
4. send kids to college any kid that needed it
5. Donate to all the real charities in the world and make sure all kids eat every day

So today is Fantastic Friday cuz hubby is home from Mexico.

Easter

So did everyone have a good Easter? I didn't. It' sucked. This is the first ever Easter that I didn't get to see my gkids hunt for eggs and have fun. Rue has been so sick here lately that she didn't feel like going up to Napa to Tina's so they stayed at home and so did I. Rue's kids, did come over for a few minutes and then later to show me what the easter bunny left for them. ANd Tina and her kids called me this morning to say hey but it stilll wasn't the same thing.

Guess things are changing and I better get used to them huh?

Another Grandson Boo boo

I just have to show you all this. Cole was running behind Pa the other day and when Pa curved around the granite kitchen table Cole didn't. Crunch!!

Look at the big ol knot on that head. Poor kid had a headache for 2 days. This kid is the cutest kid ever but he is a total daredevil. He jumps and climbs and runs and gets into everything. A total bundle of energy and I think he is wearing my girl to a frazzle.

2 socks at one time again

Well I haven't given up the quest for 2 socks at one time. Last time I ended up with one Mojo sock. This time I have started 2 at a time on magic loop. my first time with magic loop. We are doing this together on my Knitting 2 Together KAL blog

Javie's first ever stitches

Well Javie is just 3 months shy of his 7th birthday and today he got his first ever stitches.
2 of them!! He hit his chin on his bike as it went over a bump. He didn't cry, which is very unusual and at the hospital getting the stitches and the numbing shots he didn't cry either.
I asked him why he didn't and he said he didn't want to embarress himself in front of the doctor.
Shooo here he will cry about anything. He wouldn't let me take a photo with the bandage off either but I'll get one later. lol

Oh man, I almost forgot the funniest part. Monica went to the hospital with Javie and his Mommy and she watched the whole procedure and once it was done, she almost fainted. The nurse had to put a cold pack on her neck and have her lay down. Took her blood pressure and it was low so they wouldn't let her leave until it was better.!! she got some apple juice out of the deal. Now that was shades of my Tina. she always faints when she gets bloodwork done or gets over heated. Monica is ok now. She ate and drank when she got home.

Hair cuts today

Today was haircut day. Javie and Olivia and I, all got hair cuts. I told the stylist that I wanted a pixie hair cut and he thought I said a buzz fade. Here is what I got. Oh well in a week or so it will be just right.

I have started on a dishcloth for one of the groups I'm in. It's one I've never done and I like it.

Gotta have it done before April is over. lol Also am going to start on the sock kal on my sock kal blog if you want to join in with the kal come and join in.

One Mojo sock done

So this was my first toe up sock using an after thought heel. It was super easy to do, the whole thing. So I know that I want to do the other sock but not right now. I gotta find a pattern to do the 2 socks on 2 circs now. Got any suggestions???

New items in my Etsy store

See who came to visit me!! Yep it's Joy Blum!!!

I finally got to meet Joy Blum in person. Her and her hubby Jason and two youngest girls came over to visit for a little bit before they continue on their journey to Texas. They will be visiting Jason's parents. Joy and her family live in Oregon. I live in CA and now they are on their way to Texas and then later she will meet Nate and someone else, sorry I forget who to talk knitting!! Oh yeah and to celebrate Joys birthday. wish I could go with them. would love to meet Nate. Hi Nate!!!

It was a short visit but so much fun. Joy is exactly like I thought she'd be. Outgoing and friendly and great to talk to . She brought me gifts too!! The new debbie bliss knitting magazine and some pretty sock yarn , the Deborah NOrville collection Serenity in the colorway Thyme, 2 skeins of it. love the color of it. Thanks so much Joy!!! I gave her a project bag I made and a sheep and sheep stitch markers I made and a couple of other pins. and a yarn dot!! We were both happy. :D

I really enjoyed looking at the projects she has going. and talking to her. I know we would be tight friends if we lived close to one another. She is so full of energy and even though she has only been knitting for a year her knitting looks like she's been at it for years. Really and truly her socks astound me. She has socks down as well as lace work and cables and gosh you all know her blog right?

Sadly we had to say good bye so her and family could get started on the rest of their trip. Hopefully one of these days she can come back and visit again. I sure do hope so.

Oh and her hubby Jason, he's so friendly and a nut so we got along just fine!!!

Got my Dots and a couple of Blog Awards!

I received my yarn dots today in the mail. Let me just say that they are way cuter in person. I had to handle each one of them, and of course I already have my faves, like the knit happens and yarn diva and the will knit for coffee. that's me for sure. well I just love them all. Thanks to Darcy for all the yummy fun dots as a prize. Darcy also surprised me by awarding me 2 blog awards. They are posted on the right side of the blog, just shift your eyes over to the right side bar and there they are.!!
I love my blog and my blogging friends and I so appreciate all the creative goodness that abounds in this cyberspace galaxy called the world wide web. I can learn from people around the globe about anything that I can think of. And I can share what I learn to others. That's what it's all about.

My grandson's eye is doing lots better and my daughter Rue has gotten some relief from her hives and her ear infections and started on a course of steroids for her lupus flairup.

Some bunny has a boo boo

Awwwwwww look at my little grandson Cole. He had a fight with the closet door and I think by the looks of it the door won that round. He did this yesterday. I got to talk to him and Mia Bella on the phone afterwards. That was lots of fun. Coley talked big time and then so did Mia B.

And she had to giggle and let me know that now she is calling her daddy a meatball!! And she does the "I got my eyes on you" thing. pointing to her eyes and then pointing the other persons eyes. cracks me up. think her daddy taught her that one.

My daughter Rue is feeling really bad the last few days. Today she has hives alllll over her. Just how much does she have to suffer?? Wish I could take it all away from her, would do it in a nano second. Love my kids and grandkids with all my heart. But don't we all?? yep we do. I know!!

I'm Feeling Better.

Went to the dentist today and we got 99.9% of my pain taken care of by smoothing and shaping things. ahhhhhhhhh stitches are out, all has been cleaned up and refreshed and hydrated and now I can even eat more that tomatoe soup.

I had so much pain and it seems like it's been a month but in reality it's only been a week so I am doing great says the doc.

I do have a sinus infection with ear infection so have that to contend with but I can handle that.

In the last few days I've only knitted a few rows on the sock and have made a few new stitchmarkers.
