learning new things like knitting socks!!

Ok I am finally ready to try something new. I have been wanting to knit some socks for a long time and the ones I see on some blogs are sooooo pretty. So knowing that I am a beginner knitter or am in the beginner level, what pattern would you recommend that I start with first?
I actually made one sock on a round knit loom and I liked it but am wanting to make it with the dp needles. I am open to all suggestions!!

clutter

Why is it that just when I decide to unclutter my house and I get things looking pretty good, all this extra stuff just muliplies over night? I went to bed with one cracker paper on my dresser and woke up to 2 of them! what's up with that?
And my computer desk. It was looking sooooo good. Now I have stuff all over it again. grrrrrr guess it is a daily thing I have to do. Wish someone would have told me that. lol

Hey am up early today waiting for the cable guy to come see what is the prob with my dvr box.
I got a hair cut yesterday. It is not a short one for a change. I usually get my hair cut real short and then when it gets long I cut it short again. This time I only had like 2 inches cut off. cool
I am going to try to put up a few things on this blog today. with the help of Cyn my friend!! Hi Cyn and also practice on making some lucky stars that she is famous for.

Gift from my secret pal

So this is what I received from my secretpal from the group Secretcrochetpals! The little cat is so adorable!! I am getting ready to pack my pals puffy (an envelope stuffed with goodies)

Cuz it is so nice outside I got hit with the spring cleaning bug. I am trying to get rid of all the clutter in here that keeps my house looking like a dump. So pretty much got my desk and computer stuff straightened out. Today I am working on my kitchen surfaces. Next to the sink on the right was just a bunch of crap and on the left next to the drainer is the same. So have the right side looking better. Gotta go back now and do the other side. House looks just brighter and more comfortable this way. Then I have to tackle the carpet. just need to vacumn. After that need to figure out some dinner and then I can get back to my purse I am crocheting. It is gonna be cute!

My family

This is my youngest granddaughter, Mia Bella. She is the cutest thing in this world, I swear!! ANd that is my youngest daughter Tina, her Mom. Mia is just 7 months old and has her first tooth and will be standing by herself pretty soon!!!

Well I am up bright and early this morning. Why? Cuz my hubby had to work today and the sun is shining and birds are singing and I wanted to get on here and post. lol
This is a photo of me and Javie my grandson. I have 5 grandkids. The oldest was Dennis, whom most of you already know that he passed away in 2004 from leukemia. He would be 16 now. Then I have Monica who is 11, Olivia who is 8 and Javie who is 3 1/2. February is my Month!!

Oh yeah February is most definitely my month. All of my growing up life, I must have picked the worst boyfriends cuz I don't ever remember getting a valentine or candy on Feb 14th.
So when I got married 13 years ago, I thought why not make it a Memorial day for everyone and we got married on Feb 14, 1993!! And 13 years later I am still getting Valentines Day and Anniversary cards from hubby, along with roses and candy and jewelry. Guess it just depends on what man you pick and on what day you get married. lol
The little Heart Bag I made to send to one of my secretpals. This is for the one in secretcrochetpals. She knows who I am cuz I screwed up when I sent her a ecard and it had my real name on it. duhhhhh so otherwise I would not say who it is for.
I sent her a crochet hook case for last month but when she finally got the puffy, only thing left in it was a card I made her. So I made her this case to replace the other one.
