knitted purse for a swap

Well I finally got this little knitted purse done. I don't know if I love the flower on it or not. I'm thinking a smaller white one would be better. I'll make one and see.
This flower is the one in the Noni bag pattern for the Night garden evening bag but it's not felted. actually I made this purse after that whole pattern some, just didn't felt it or make it as big. Think I will make myself one of the other bags I got , maybe the triangle baguette.

And the patterns

The first pattern is called "In The Sculpture Garden". There are two patterns here. one triangel baguette and one triangle bag. Second pattern is called "Night Garden Felted Evening Bag" I think I am going to make the night garden one first. I love the flowers on it. Well I love the flowers on the other bag too!! I have joined the Noni bag blog so am going to go check out what's going on there.

Bad Bad Dog

Can you tell that this was a very nice porch sofa when I left to go to Walmart with my sis Bikki this morning. Just a tiny 2 hours later this is what I came home to. My darlin' dog couldn't find anything else to tear up so he tore up the sofa.
I could just kill him, I swear. I keep telling my hubby that a cage is what we need and he keeps saying NO. Well we'll see about that now. I'm going to get one tomorrow. This dog will learn his place or else!!! But I love my doggy. He is just a bad bad puppy. :)

pop can or water bottle cozy

In Creative Korners group I am in the popcan cozy swap. I have the cutest pattern for a knitted one in my newest Creative Knitting mag but it calls for sport weight yarn and I didn't have any in the color I wanted. But I did have some cotton yarn. So I just crocheted a circle big enough for the bottom of the can and then using dp needles, I picked up stitches all around and started with k2 p2 ribbing for 6 rows and then stockinet st for 9 rows then 6 more rows of the rib pattern. That's as far as I have gotten today. I will do the 9 rows of stockinet st and another 6 of the ribbing and that will probably be enough. It's gonna be cute but not as cute as the pattern in my mag. I will make myself one of those soon as I wind up some of the yarn I have in the lavendar. sweet mild color. Posted by Picasa

And Mia modeling the little tanklet I just made for her

I asked her mom to try on the tanklet I made for her birthday so Tina took off the top Mia had on and Mia started crying big time. Think maybe she thought her mom was leaving again or something but once she had the tanklet on she stopped crying. It is on backwards but still looks good on her.  Posted by Picasa

Mia Modeling a hat I made for her

What a cutie she is in her hat. It stayed on for about 5 seconds. Posted by Picasa

A Happy 4th of July

I spent the better part of this 4th of July in Napa at my girl Tina's home, babysitting Mia Bella. What a super treat that was for me. It is rare that they need a babysitter so I jump at any chance to spend time with her.
As you can see, she is a super happy baby. We had the best of times today!!

Noni bag patterns

Here are the two Noni bag patterns that I ordered last night from Yarnzilla.com. I've already been informed that they have been shipped!! Cool, and the shipping for the whole order was a flat $5. that is super cool. I don't have the handles yet for the bags but that can wait for a while right? lol

Heart in Hand felted purse

I am having a purse swap on my knitting group so I think I will make this purse for my partner. I just have to wait and see what color she wants before I can start it. I love purses.

Oh I also just ordered 2 of the noni purse patterns and a few skeins of yarn from Yarnzilla.com. I will post photos of what I ordered in a minute.

Hours of facinating fun

This little gadget is good for hours of fun. Monica got it at Target yesterday and we have been having lots of fun with it. Well when we can steal it away from Monica that is. !! Posted by Picasa

Having some scooter fun

I thought the grandkids would enjoy having some scooters to play with so I picked up 3 of them at Target yesterday. I sit on my porch and knit while watching them play. We live on a dead end street so it is a safe place to play. Posted by Picasa

Mia Bella's 1st birthday!!!

Well my youngest grandchild, Mia Bella, turned 1 today. Here is a photo of her and her Mommy and Daddy at their business. Yes, parents do have to work on your birthday especially if you happen to own an Ice business and your birthday falls on the busiest week of the year!! So we had a small party at their work. She is sitting on the gift me and Pa gave her. I think she likes it too. Posted by Picasa

Finished tank top for Mia

Here is the finished tank top for my granddaughter Mia. She will be one on July 2nd.
I used the pattern that I mentioned earlier and it is so easy to do. The pattern only goes up to size 4T I think but now I am just starting one for Olivia, one of my other granddaughters. She is 8 but she is big for her age as is all of her siblings. She looks like she is 11 or 12. yikes!! Any way she asked me to make her one in pink but it ended up gonna be purple and white! Posted by Picasa
