I just finished this knitted purse for a swap in my PattsKnittingCircle@yahoogroups.com group. I'm sending it to Tina B. I put 3 little dragonflys on it for fun!

This is Olivia age 8. She is going to be tall also. She will be repeating the 2nd grade again in Sept. She is one of those, MIss Thangs!!!! And she loves to talk and play.

This is Monica, a little tomboy, well she's not short, she's gonna be nice and tall like her daddy.
She is just finishing 5th grade. Next year she goes to middle school. woo hooo

I found this cute slipper pattern yesterday. Click on the title of this post to get to the link for it. I think it is called Simple Mules. Well I just think it is so simple and heck a cute. Gonna make another one and then give the pair to my granddaughter Mia Bella for her birthday, July 2. She will be one!!

Done with one sock

Here it is. Taaaa Daaaaaaa. I can't believe that I did it. I knit a sock. How cool is that? Well now I have better knowledge of how my foot is shaped and what I need to do to make a sock that fits it well. Like this one for instance. First the cuff is a bit too big and the heel part is about 5-6 rows to long. the foot part I can add half an inch to it also. Then using that formula, I can make me some GREAT socks.

Sock progress

I am totally into this sock now. I have the heel and the heel gussets done and am just working on the foot part, you know from the heel to the toe. Then I will be done with the first sock. I bet cha anything that it won't take me long to finish the second one!!
Why am I loving this??? Cuz I have learned something new and have improved my knitting skills. COOL

KAL sock knit along

In my PattsKnittingCircle@yahoogroups.com group we have just started a KAL which means Knit Along and we are doing a pair of socks. I have never done knit socks before. and the post before this I did a pair of crocheted socks. I bet anything that the knit ones are going to feel much better on my feet. One Crocheted Sock Done, one to go

Ok here is my first finished sock. Will start on the second one now. I have already done the ribbing on it. So the next pair I make like this , I will add more rows after the ribbing but before the heel hole. I need for it to be longer there and the ribbing can be a few stiches smaller. Other than that it is a good sock!!
In my group PattsKnittingCircle@yahoogroups.com our next KAL is going to be knitted socks. Just very basic ones like these but knitted! way cool.

Some new yarns

I went to Walmart with my hubby and my daughter and grandson yesterday and I found these yarns. I didn't have them so I just had to get 2 skeins of each. Don't have a clue as to what I will make with them but you know how it is when you find new yarn.
If ya have any idea what I can use them for just give me a yell.

I thought this was a cute pattern for the swap and just to put some sizzle in the flowers I gave the 1st round of each flower some novelty eyelash yarn.. Hope my swap partner likes it. I got the pattern from the Lion Brand website.

Ok, the knitting part is done, just have to felt it tomorrow and see what happens. This one is for Carole Fitzgerald for the felted purse swap in my BearsEtc4Kids group.

Bookmark for a swap

I just made this little flower bookmark for a swap I am in with the Creative Korners yahoo group. I belonged to this group before but left it for a while. But joined it again recently and I am enjoying being back!

Rho knitting fishes

A friend and member of my BearsEtc4Kids-Dennisbears group came to visit me and she spent the night and we had a great time talking and talking. We did take a break so that she could learn how to do the fishes afghan that Cyn showed us on her blog. http://www.cynscorner.blogspot.com/ Above is a photo of her doing just that, reading pattern and knitting a fish and another photo of us in my living room. Yep she is that tall and I am that short!! It was super great to spend time with her.
